At around 8.30am on Monday 30 March, emergency services were notified of a single-vehicle road traffic collision involving a silver Subaru Legacy in Hulham Road, Exmouth.

One occupant was removed from the vehicle with the assistance of Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.

South West Ambulance Service was also in attendance.

The driver of the Subaru was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital with serious injuries.

Hulham Road remained closed for around three-and-a-half hours to allow for a forensic examination of the collision scene and for highways workers to clean away any remaining debris.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for witnesses of the incident, or anyone with dashcam footage, to come forward quoting log 90 of 30 March 2020.
