Bromance or bad date? Trump, Macron trade barbs over tariffs, NATO
Tuesday, 3 December 2019 They have hosted each other for state visits and dined at the Eiffel Tower, but the once-budding bromance between U.S. President Donald Trump and France's Emmanuel Macron looks to have turned into a bad date as they traded blows ahead of a NATO summit.
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday he was sure "a minor dispute" with France on trade could be worked out after he threatened to impose duties of up to 100% on imports of champagne, handbags and other French products.
