U.S. expects software fix for Boeing 737 MAX planes to take months
Wednesday, 13 March 2019 The United States expects it will take months before a software fix for Boeing 737 Max planes is complete, the acting administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration said on Wednesday, adding that he does not know how long the country's grounding of the aircraft will last.
Boeing has confirmed that it will deploy a software upgrade to the 737 MAX 8.
This comes a few hours after the Federal Aviation Administration said it would mandate “design changes” in the aircraft by April.
