It's out on October 30th...

Hip-hop legend *Common* will release new project 'A Beautiful Revolution Part 1' on October 30th.

The new project features a stellar band, with jazz hero Robert Glasper taking up keys, alongside Karriem Riggins (drums), Burniss Travis (bass), Isaiah Sharkey (guitar), and PJ (vocals).

The Roots' musician Black Thought contributes, while guitarist and rock icon Lenny Kravitz worked on the project.

Out on October 30th, 'A Beautiful Revolution Part 1' is meant “uplift, heal, and inspire listeners dealing with racial injustices as well as other social injustices...”

The new release "affirmation", he says. "It's recognition. It's elevation. It's music to go with a movement. Because the truth is, there is still so much work to do. Regardless of the outcome of the election, we need to make sure things do not return to the status quo."

"The intention of the music is to channel all of our pain and outrage into something productive, inspirational, and good. It’s to help lead a movement into our next phase of the work to be done."

New single 'Say Peace' is the first track to emerge from the release, with its shuffle beat finding Common working the mic alongside Black Thought and PJ.

Of the new song, Common states: "I found my peace, my peace through making these albums.”

Tune in now.
