Thousands upon thousands of jobs may be at stake...
Figures from across the music industry have united to support calls to extend the furlough period for the live sector.
The past six months have essentially crushed live music in this country, with the pandemic forcing venues to shut their doors.
The government's furlough helped to ease the pain, but with this period coming to an end industry figures estimate that thousands upon thousands of jobs could be at stake.
It's a broad range of skills, too, moving from door staff and bar workers through to sound technicians, lighting professionals, and more.
A new petition has been launched in a bid to extend furlough for workers in theatre and live music, and it's gained widespread support.
The live music industry remains in crisis.
With the vast majority of venues unable to viably reopen with restrictions in place, we need the government to extend the furlough scheme.

If you love live music please sign this. If the live music & theatre industry doesn’t get this help, it’s going to be truly tragic. https://t.co/aBefDac8l4
