Kurt Cobain's MTV Unplugged Guitar Goes Up For Auction
It could sell for $1 million...
An acoustic guitar that once belonged to *Kurt Cobain* is set to go up for auction.
The guitar was famously played by Kurt Cobain during the session for MTV Unplugged In New York, one of Nirvana's finest albums.
Switching their fuzzed out volume for something softer, the band showed a completely different side to their music, one that bristled with a quiet intensity.
Now Kurt Cobain's hand-adjusted acoustic guitar could be yours, if you manage to beat the rush.
The instrument - a 1959 Martin D-18E - goes under the hammer at the Music Icons event in June, hosted by Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills.
There's a starting reserve of $1 million, which - in all honesty - it will no doubt surpass.
