On April 14, 2024, at approximately 1516 hours, El Paseo PD Officers observed a male walking in and out of roadway.
The officers observed he had injuries to his face and was bleeding.
The officers attempted to contact with this subject and called for medical services.
The subject managed to evade the officers for a short distance.
The officers caught up to the subject and a struggle ensued.
Officer were able to subdue the subject who appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance.
The subject then was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
