Silent Hill 2 (サイレントヒル 2 Sairento Hiru Tsū?) is a survival horror video game developed by Team Silent of Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo and published by Konami.
It is the second title in the Silent Hill series and was released for PlayStation 2 in September 2001, with an Xbox version debuting in December and for Microsoft Windows in December 2002.
The story focuses on James Sunderland, a widower who travels to city of Silent Hill after receiving a letter from his late wife informing him that she is waiting for him.
Gameplay involves navigating different locations in the city, acquiring items, solving puzzles, and facing a variety of monster types.
