A Christmas gift of discarded trees for Stockholm's fish

Every year, dozens of discarded Christmas trees are thrown into Stockholm's icy waters, which provide a welcome habitat for marine wildlife once sunk to the bottom.

Since 2016, more than 1,000 trees have been tied together, weighed down with rocks and deposited into the sea to help restore the endangered ecosystem of the Swedish capital's waterways.
