Paralympic 'Blade Runner' Oscar Pistorius Seeks Parole for Girlfriend's Murder

Former South African Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius, convicted in 2014 for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, is set to appeal for an early release from prison.

The athlete, once known as the "Blade Runner" for his achievements on carbon-fiber prosthetic legs, has become infamous for the tragic events that unfolded on Valentine's Day in 2013.
