Police have confirmed the death of an 8-year-old girl after a car crashed into The Study Preparatory School in Wimbledon.
Detective Chief Superintendent Clair Kelland appeared visibly tearful as she confirmed "very sadly" the pupil died at the scene of the incident.
In a statement, police said a 40-year-old woman had been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
