English football is set to get a new independent regulator, following a fan-led review into the sport chaired by the MP Tracey Crouch last year.
The new body will have significant powers such as being able to block clubs from joining breakaway competitions, introducing more stringent tests for club owners and directors, and ensuring a fairer distribution of money throughout the leagues.
