Italians burn energy bills in protest over government inaction as prices soar

People gathered in downtown Perugia to burn energy bills, slamming what they call the government’s inaction in the face of price spikes.

The protesters say increases in gas and electricity bills amount to 300%-400%, and described as ‘a joke’ the ecological transition minister’s proposal to provide a subsidy of 15%.
