Abarth Racing Season 2021

The numbers never lie and Abarth’s in the 2021 season are record-breaking ones.

The Scorpion’s racing soul continues to reap successes both in rallies and on the track, thanks to the Abarth 124 rally, now the backbone of the RGT cars in the international rallying landscape.

Its successes are also thanks to the 160-hp Abarth 1.4 T-Jet engine, the beating heart of the Formula 4 single-seaters that are developing the best talents of open-wheel motorsport.

In the third season of the Abarth Rally Cup, part of the FIA European Rally Championship (ERC) calendar, the Scorpion car was put to the test by the big names in the Abarth series.

Dariusz Poloński was crowned champion courtesy of 5 victories out of 6 rallies run, having demonstrated his dominance with victory in 72 special stages out of 84.

Third overall in ERC2, the Polish driver also won 2 podiums in ERC2 at the Rally di Roma Capitale and Barum Czech Rally Zlín rounds.

During the 2021 season, the Abarth 124 rally completed 24 special stages on gravel, covering 381.78 km, and 60 on tarmac with 780.29 km.

In the six rounds of the European series, a total of 1162.07 km was covered in the special stages.

The total becomes 4600.39 km if we include the transfers between the various stages, which visited Poland, Latvia, Italy, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Spain.
