Footage from September 15 shows Sasmita Krushna Gocchit, in a red sari, quickly assessing the situation before using a cane to lure the snake out of hiding and pulling the small reptile from the bike safely.
She is familiar with snakes because her husband, Krushna Gocchit, is a professional snake rescuer According to local media, a man arrived in the area to refuel his scooter when he opened the oil tank and found a snake hiding under his seat.
The snake was later released into a nearby forest.
