A woman was walking down the hill near the Half-Way House, when a man approached and threatened her around 8:00 a.m.

Are investigating reports of a man who tried to abduct a woman walking near a local college.

A reported abduction attempt near hamilton college this morning.

Officials with the college say a clinton resident was walking in the area, when a man approached her and threatened her.

This is your top story tonight on newchannel 2 weekend at 6- college officials say around 8 this morning, they received a report of the incident.

It happened on college hill road.

They say a clinton woman was walking down the hill near the half-way house when a man came up to her and threatened her.

He was dressed in black.

They say the woman screamed, and the male fled towards clinton.

State police, kirkland police, the oneida county sheriff's office, and campus safety all responded.

Anyone with information is asked to call hamilton college campus safety.
