Into movie theaters just yet.

But capitol theater in rome is helping you enjoy the experience at home.

Newschannel2's chelsea sherrod explains.

Chelsea: while you might not be able to go to the movies, you can still enjoy movie popcorn from this local theater.

Capitol theater in rome has been shutdown due to the coronavirus but its operations are still up and running.

Julie whittemore assistant director of operations and other staff are bringing the movie snacks to you!

Literally through your window.

Julie whittemore: a lot of our revenue is dramatically cut so what we've been doing to raise a little money as we have curbside popcorn pick up where patrons can order popcorn ahead of time and we bring it out to the car.

For the past three weeks, the theater has beeen curbing the cravings of movie goers, hassle- free.

Julie whittemore: there's a link on our website www.romecapitol.com you can also access that through our facebook page or you can just give us a call and place the order the day of the pick up which is every friday.

And you must order in advance.

Julie whittemore: and that the order is in one hour ahead of the pick up time.

So it's 5:30, 6:00, 6:30, 7:00 that can be picked up.

The staff says this curbside pickup is a great way to support a local business and to interact with customers julie whittemore: well since we've closed we've been lucky because people will express that they miss the place they miss seeing our staff and we obviously missed them so it's a chance for us to see everybody again and catch up a little bit.

Julie says that they plan on continuing this program every friday until they can reopen.

And this way you can still get that movie theater feeling at home.

And anyone can pop their own popcorn but nothing beats movie theater popcorn.
