Marc Jacobs ended his run on New York Fashion Week by having a show that had no music, no lightly, and no set. Jacob’s goal was to not have any special effects take away from the clothing he designed. He wanted the clothes to be the main focal point of the show, which honored the hip-hop era. After the show, Jacobs stated, “As a born and bred New Yorker, it was during my time at the High School of Art and Design when I began to see and feel the influence of hip-hop on other music as well as art and style.”
