North Korea received new sanctions from the United Nations Security Council on Wednesday that "aim to cut the Asian state's annual export revenue by more than a quarter.

" The imposed sanctions are a response to the country's "fifth and largest nuclear test in September." The U.N.

council unanimously passed a resolution that cuts coal exports in North Korea by 60 percent, with an annual cap of about $400 million.

Copper, nickel, silver, zinc, and statue exports have also been banned..
