Slabbies reunite: Buddies who provided the inspiration for Slab Boy trilogy recount stories from factory days

The play which took Paisley to Broadway and has had Hollywood heavyweights including Sean Penn, Robbie Coltrane and Kevin Bacon playing its much-loved characters is based on Byrne’s experience of working in the slab room in Elderslie’s Stoddarts carpet factory.
