Monday 24 October, 2022Sussex band the Jive Aces are celebrating after BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing used their arrangement of the legendary Morecambe and Wise theme Bring Me Sunshine on Saturday night for their celebration of a hundred years of the BBC!

The Jive Aces, who are UK’s number one jive and swing band and BGT semi finalists, created the Bring Me Sunshine music video ten years ago using a slower ukulele intro and then speeding up into a jive dancing extravaganza and it soon went viral with over 3.6 million views and went on to win multiple awards and be used several times for competition dances on Strictly and now had proved to be a favourite by being used for this big BBC celebration.

Lead singer Ian Clarkson said, “It was amazing, what an honour! They not only used the song but also many aspects of the theme from our music video including the ukulele intro! It is a great song and Bring Me Sunshine is like the band’s ‘mission statement’, we aim to cheer everyone up and make the world a happier place through our music and bring sunshine to all!”
