Here Comes The Summer - Five Big Movies To Look Out Forby

It’s hard to believe that it’s nearly that time again – but arguably the most exciting few months on the cinema release calendar are coming up, and while we’ve seen a few big hitters already having scored big here at One News Page, there are arguably more than a few more waiting around the corner for your ticket money that we are keeping our fingers crossed for. Here’s five such movies that we think you should definitely be saving the pennies up for in the coming months.

Wonder Woman
While we weren’t huge fans of DC at all last year – see our reviews for Suicide Squad and Justice.htm">Batman V Superman – it remains to be said that the studio has had time to analyse what Marvel has done right by audiences during an incredible 2016. Therefore, we seriously hope Wonder Woman knocks audiences for six in the coming months – we will certainly have our fingers crossed

Spider-Man: Homecoming
Hopes are already high for Tom Holland’s first full-length outing as Spidey, and with Robert Downey Jr popping up as Iron Man, many are hoping it will tie in Peter Parker and his web-slinging antics nicely into the current Marvel universe. There’s no reason why not – will it be third time lucky for Spidey?

War for the Planet of the Apes
The Planet of the Apes movies have blown critics and audiences away, clearly showing how a reboot can be done well – and with the third instalment in the current run due to reach us mid-summer, we could well be onto another CGI-laden stunner – that has the story and the character development to boot.

The Dark Tower
Stephen King’s immense tome finally gets the big screen treatment – while many may be worried that it may be unfilmable due to its sheer scope, it at least has some major star power behind it – it’s looking like one of August’s biggest hitters, and we are putting cautious money on this potentially doing very well in terms of critical reception.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle
Could the sequel to Eggsy’s adventures in the world of badass secret agent-ing get audiences buzzing quite as much as his first outing? Who’s to say – but we’re very excited to see what Kingsman 2 has to offer, particularly with such a huge array of stars on board! Let’s wait and see.
