Slowdown signals drag London’s FTSE 100 lower

More signs of a global economic slowdown emerging this morning dragged down London’s top indexes. The capital’s premier FTSE 100 index lost 0.3 per cent to drop to 7,174.71 points, while the mid-cap domestically-focused FTSE 250 index, which is more aligned with the health of the UK economy, fell 0.8 per cent to 18,685.37 points.
